Cleaning House

Wow!  Did I accumulate a lot of stuff or what?!?!  Amazingly enough I only held on to 7 stamp sets out of almost 100 sets.  TLC’s Clean House would be proud.  I’m sure I could have cleaned out more paper and most of my ink, but I am holding on to the hope that one day…

Here is the list of all that I am parting with, if you see something you want, make an offer.  Slowly, but surely, I am adding prices, but will entertain any offer.  All but a couple of sets are like-new, some even never used.  Many are retired and some even hard to find.

No Time to Stamp

Since I started working full-time almost three years ago, I have found it increasingly difficult to find time to stamp and craft.  Crafting has always been my creative outlet, so in some respects this has been hard since I feel unfulfilled at times.

There is no time to surf my favorite blogs for inspiration, I am no longer a SU demonstrator so no monthly/quarterly bursts of inspiration come via the mail either.  A little at a time I put my crafting items away.  Then I broke apart my desk and put everything into my closet.  For over a year now, all my stamps, papers and ink have spent time in the dark.

It is time they see the light again, just not at my house.  I am putting together a list of all my stamps and items that I am selling.  I still have my first SU items and I have many retired products. So if you have any requests, feel free to ask.

The good thing coming out of this is I am getting my closet back.  I might even be able to step into it.

I’m back!!!

It has been almost a full year since my last blog post.  I have missed the time I used to have to make cards and browse the internet for new ideas and techniques.  Now what we create for GNO is usually decided upon less than a week in advance and limited to supplies on hand.  That’s OK!  I still love creating and savor the time I do get to do what I love – create!

I’m preparing for a GNO (Girl’s Night Out) and GAO (Girl’s Afternoon Out).  In doing the preparation, I’ve been cleaning up and clearing out!  It feels so good!

March GNO Projects

We had a great time making our GNO projects, meeting new friends, and reconnecting with old ones.  We used several new products and focused on using blender pens.

I just had to put some ink on my Goody-Goody Gumdrops Level 3 Hostess Set.  This card by Jen Sannes was Goody-Goody Good!!!  I’m not one for square cards so I altered it to fit a standard size using what I had.  My ladies always get stuck making the cards I need, a baby boy welcome card in this instance.

Couldn’t have a GNO without doing one thing 3-D.  It is always a challenge to come up with something I can send the ladies home with that they’ll want to re-create for their children’s classmates.  With Spring and Easter around the corner I broke out my #2 box and got to work.

March GNO

A date has been set for the March GNO at my house.  It will be held Friday, March 27.  Stamping will commence at 6:30 p.m., but feel free to come a little earlier for some social time.

We will make a card and a couple of 3-D items that will be perfect for upcoming spring occasions (Easter, Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation, etc).
